About the Scholarship
The Teens Helping Teens Music Therapy Scholarship is a partnership between NeuroSound Music Therapy and Hopeful Minds Outreach, a youth-led nonprofit dedicated to expanding access to mental wellness resources in underserved communities through music and the arts.
Together, we believe every teenager deserves the opportunity to experience the therapeutic benefits of music, regardless of financial circumstances. This scholarship helps reduce financial barriers so more teens can access individualized music therapy services that support emotional well-being, communication, social connection, and personal growth.
Scholarship Eligibility
Applicants must:
- Be 13 years of age or older.
- Demonstrate financial need or other circumstances that make music therapy services difficult to afford.
- Be interested in participating in music therapy services through NeuroSound Music Therapy.
- Complete the scholarship application and provide any requested supporting information.
Priority Consideration
While all eligible applicants are encouraged to apply, priority may be given to individuals who:
- Come from historically underserved or underrepresented communities.
- Face significant socioeconomic barriers to accessing healthcare or therapeutic services.
- Would be unlikely to receive music therapy services without financial assistance.
Scholarship Award
- Scholarships are awarded based on available funding and demonstrated need.
- Awards are granted up to $500 per recipient.
- Scholarship funds are applied directly toward eligible music therapy services provided by NeuroSound Music Therapy and are not distributed as cash payments.
- Receiving a scholarship does not guarantee future awards. Applicants are welcome to reapply if funding remains available.
